We explored painting without brushes today and instead we used the force of gravity! Megan and I introduced the “big idea” of gravity to the children, describing and demonstrating how gravity is the force that keeps people and objects on the ground and causes objects to fall towards the earth.
We went on a nature walk around the school grounds looking for signs of Spring with our senses. We saw buds on trees and bushes, flowers just starting to push out of the earth, moss, grasses, and a variety of birds.
Today we saw a Laser Science Show!
Today we read “Bartholomew and the Oobleck” by Dr. Seuss and made our own using cornstarch and water. We observed as it changed from a liquid to a solid and back again.
The children are really enjoying our study of Dr. Seuss! Today, we made Truffals Trees from The Lorax and painted with them.
The kids went on a trip to Disney World today! Everyone had a part; pilot, co-pilot, passengers and a flight attendant.
We made spinning tops with markers to make colorful swirls and marks on large paper.
M & A made a road with hills out of blocks and drove their Playstix car creations back and forth.
We listened to a fabulous storyteller for March is Reading Month!
